Lincolnville Central School PTO (Parent-Teacher Organization)

Mission Statement: 1. Strengthen parent-school relations & involvement 2. Support students, parents, teachers & administration 3. Enrich & Enhance the elementary & middle school experience Welcome to Parents Group! Any parent/guardian of a child at LCS is automatically a member of our Parents Group/PTO. Meetings are held monthly throughout the school year generally starting at 7pm in the school conference room. Information about upcoming events, meetings & activities is published weekly in the school newsletter & agenda items & meeting minutes are available for review online by signing up for our email list. The PTO functions as a non-profit corporation with specific bylaws available on request. Elected positions within the PTO are President, Secretary & Treasurer. Officers are elected at the last General Membership Meeting each year and serve from July 1-June 30. Volunteers are always appreciated! Let us know how you would like to help! The next monthly PTO meeting will be on Tuesday, November 4th from 6:30 to 7:30 in the LCS conference room. Please join us to find out how you can be a part of our fund raising activities and special events. We welcome new ideas of how the PTO can support our school, so be sure to join us on November 4th! Boxtops for Education: Congratulations to both the 1st and 3rd grades! The first grade turned in 49 sheets and the third grade 48 sheets, so the PTO is going to reward both classes for their efforts with an ice cream party. And thanks to all the students who turned in Boxtops--you helped us raise almost $150 for our school. New sheets will be coming home and another competition will be starting soon, so keep on clipping! Hannaford Helps Schools: Put your "School Dollar" cash register slips in the LCS collection tower slot at the Camden Hannaford. Since each school is allowed only one collection bin, if you do your shopping in Belfast or any other Hannaford, just send your slips in to the LCS office--either way our school gets credit. This program ends December 4th. Holiday Wreath Sale: Order forms for PTO holiday wreaths will be sent home next week. Please return your order by November 7th. Wreaths will be available for pick-up on Friday, December 5th, with early orders available starting on November 22nd. Gingerbread House Night: Mark your calendars! The second annual Gingerbread House Night will be Friday, December 12th. Last year was great with so many families joining in the fun! More details will be coming, as we get closer to the holidays!
